Irish Co-Production ‘A Greyhound of a Girl’ to receive World Premiere at 2023 Berlinale.
Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland is delighted to share that Enzo d’Alò’s A Greyhound of a Girl will receive its World Premiere at the 73rd edition of the Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale). The film will screen this February as part of the Generation Kplus 2023 programme.
Based on Roddy Doyle’s novel of the same, the film is written by Enzo d’Alò and Dave Ingham and stars Mia O’Connor, Charlene McKenna, Brendan Gleeson, Sharon Horgan and Rosaleen Linehan.
The film tells the story of Mary, an 11 year old with an insuppressible passion for cooking. Her granny is the best: her pantry contains no instant food, but plenty of recipes for savouring the moment. When she falls ill, Mary starts fearing the worst. In this journey across the generations, a family travels the bittersweet road of life together.
C&C are delighted to have been asked to create the posters for the film following our work on Oscar nominated Irish animation ‘Wolfwalkers’ in 2021.
